Description
The Albergo Battelli is located in Marina di Pietrasanta – Motrone, just 50 meters from the sea and the beach, and for over a century has been synonymous with hospitality, elegance, and relaxation in Versilia. Founded in 1920, it now presents itself with a renewed look, in line with the times, while maintaining its historic class and the always welcoming atmosphere.
The structure offers a family-friendly and well-kept environment, where the staff welcomes guests with professionalism and friendliness, creating a relaxing and informal atmosphere. The location is ideal for enjoying a complete vacation: tranquility and comfort just steps from the sea, in the heart of Versilia's entertainment, shopping, and gastronomy.
The origins of Albergo Battelli date back to the 19th and 20th centuries, when the Versilia coast was still characterized by natural dunes, pine forests, and free beaches. It was Raffaello Battelli, an enterprising merchant of marble craftsmanship and grandfather of the current owners, who built the villa in Motrone, near the sea and the pine forest.
In 1920, at the end of World War I, Arturo Battelli transformed the villa into a guesthouse, starting a business destined to grow and be passed down from generation to generation. Despite the difficulties of the world conflicts – the villa also served as a military base and hospital during World War II – the structure has always remained a reference point for local hospitality.
From the post-war period onwards, thanks to the commitment of Valeria Battelli and the family, the hotel has expanded and modernized, while still maintaining the original spirit of dedication, hospitality, and attention to guests. Since 2017, a new management has passionately carried on this legacy, continuing a story that began over a hundred years ago.
Thanks to its strategic location, family tradition, and authentic atmosphere, Albergo Battelli today represents an ideal choice for those seeking a beach vacation in Versilia, amidst history, comfort, and genuine hospitality.
