Description

Beyond the coastal line, where the air becomes purer and the hills take on characteristic red hues, the Bruni Winery is born, a reality deeply connected to Maremma Toscana and its winemaking tradition. Here, the skilled hand of man has shaped the landscape with a single goal: to enhance the authentic flavors of this land.
The history of Bruni Winery began in the 1950s, when Leo Bruni and his son Paolo acquired, with great sacrifices, a small farm in the so-called “Maremma Amara”, which was still partly marshy at the time. In 1956, the agricultural company was officially founded, initially dedicated to land reclamation, deforestation, and livestock farming.
The first wine production was intended for direct sale at the winery. It was in 1973 that the first entirely hand-bottled production was born: Marta Rosso, marking a fundamental milestone in the company's growth. The following year, in 1974, the Bruni Winery was founded, born from a passion destined to become a life project. In the same year, twins Marco and Moreno were born, future winemakers.
In 1995, Marco and Moreno Bruni took the reins of the company, inaugurating a new generation focused on innovation and quality. Winemaking techniques refined, the wines reached high quality standards, and production began to exceed national borders.
Today, Bruni Winery has about 40 hectares of vineyards and a production of over 320,000 bottles per year. The symbolic grape variety is Morellino di Scansano, accompanied by Vermentini, Cabernet, Alicante, international reds, and IGT wines from Maremma Toscana. The entire production is guided by a continuous quest for quality, aiming to enhance the connection between territory, climate, and grape variety, fundamental elements for the identity of Bruni wines.
The Bruni Winery today represents the realization of a dream born in Maremma and grown over time, testifying to the level of excellence that Maremma wine can achieve.
